Breast lump

I've got a firm but rubbery lump in my right breast , it moves abit and smooth . I've got an appointment St the breast clinic on Monday I'm really scared .anyone else had the same

Hi Louise. I think you should be posting on the breast forum not abdominal. It's probably a cyst, my daughter had one but nothing serious. They can drained I think but your clinic will advise best. Best wishes, Pollyanna UK

My really good friend found something similar last week and went to the dr on Tuesday who said it looked to be caused by trauma. She did have an incident a few months ago with a fall and that was around one of the areas she had been bruised. She has a mammogram scan sheduled for next week to confirm but I just wanted to let you know that there is just as big of chance that it's not something scary. Let us know how the appointment goes!

I had a small moveable lump in my breast, near the inside between my breasts.  Of course I was worried but when I saw the consultant I was told it was a thing called a  fibroadenoma to give it its proper name but commonly known as a breast mouse.  That was small and moved about, hence the mouse description.  She said she might as well take it out there and then so with a bit of local anaesthetic she cut it out and put a stitch in.  It went and never came back.

I also had a larger lumpat another time  that turned out to be a cyst which was dealt with straight away by the consultant inserting a needle and drawing out a lot of horrible stuff and that went and has never come back as well.   Try not to worry as the chances are it's more likely to be something simple.
