Breath smells like faeces (Poo)

I have this horrid poo smell from my mouth. I brush my teeth twice a day, floss, use Dentyl PH mouthwash, I have the best oral hygeine of anyone I know but I still have this smell. I am too embarrassed to even ask my flriends or family to tell me my breath stinks. I am becoming totally reclusive because of it. Id rather go to my GP and tell him ive got an STD. I know ive got it coz sometimes people look around and ask if ive farted, and I see people with babies smelling their nappies when I speak. It really is starting to badly affect my life but I just cant pluck up the courage ot go to my GP. How on earht can i ay \"DR, My breath smells like poo!\" Please, if anyone has any tips let me know.

I think it's associated with worms, believe it or not. It may be embarrassing but you should approach a doctor or pharmacist and check this out - hardly worse than continuing to experience it...

hi extremely unhappy,

i would say 1.colonic irrigation to remove undigested red meat/crap from gut

2.detox to within an inch of your life

3.look into candida diet....sugar loving yeasts

4.maintain fresh food diet,no booze, fags, red meat etc for about 4

weeks

5.check that your bowel movements are normal/regular.

6.drink plenty water..no cofee/tea.

7.try to eat little/often=empty tummy can be smelly.

8 pro/pre biotics particularly acidopholus (Spelling?)

9.if all else fails go to your gp anyway

good luck,hope this helps love.

let us know. sad

pps when u see your g.p to avoid embarassment say you have a metallic taste in your mouth?????.

xx. sad

invest in a good tongue scrapper and use it. mouthwash companies hate this simple cure for poo breath. Love forever.. G-D is great. you're not so bad yourself.dhyjvy

How long have u had it for?

Is it there always? Or does it come and go?

Have u noticed anything different when u go to the toilet?

Please don't be too embarrassed to talk to your GP - they have seen and heard it all before, I can assure you ...........

Why dont you try using a product

called Therabreath

You are not alone in this complaint. My bad smell/taste is coming from my tonsils. As usual my GP doesn't want to know but you have to keep on at them cos they really are a waste of space in matters like these. I'm going back to see mine again tomorrow after being given a clean bill of health from my dentist. I guess i'm getting back on the merry go round as i know my GP will sugest something like 'try a diffrent mouth wash, lol. They never take these matters seriously so you have to be asked to be referred to a specialist, which is my plan tomorrow. I have some kinda bacterial prob but don't know if it's allergy related or a tonsil prob. Good luck to you an me.

Hi Pluto

This is something nobody likes to talk about, is it? When I was about 15 (about 55 years ago) I found a small leathery dark pellet in my mouth and when I sniffed it it was foul smelling. WhenI got home I explored my mouth with a smooth handled toothbrush and a good mirror and poking about where the tonsils are I found another pellet poking out from the skin it seemed. Over the years whenever I have sensed that unpleasant taste in my mouth (which I am sure is the commonest reason for the nasty breath that so many people suffer from) I repeat the process. It is as if the tonsils contain many little passages ending in the mouth and that is where these pellets lurk and can be gently manipulated to emerge. I dont know what it is, decayed saliver perhaps. And yet it is so common and no one, not even dentists, seems to know about it or discuss it. Another tip: Hydrogen Peroxide \"20 volumes 6%\" is what you ask for in Pharmacies is a small bottle of mouthwash much cheaper and effective than famous brands. Dilute it 50/50 to use. Could buy weaker but its cheaper to dilute! This a dentist DID tell me about!

hi ,im suffering from the same symtons ,poo breath .just woundering what to do?

can the person who wrote this contact me ****.want to know how you know this and what to do .as im suffering from the same symtoms

Dave Pyramid.... It was me who made the original posting, and since then I have bought a water jet thingymajig, to no avail! I scape my tongue in the morning and night (as I always have) to no avail!! I have started using interdental brushes instead of floss.... To no avail! Have used CORTOSYL mouthwash morning and night... To no avail.... I drink plenty of water, eat fruit in the day, brush my teeth etc to within an inch of my life, check my tonsills for \"tonsil stones\"... Guess what... All to no avail. I really take care of myself and my appearance, and this is more than ruining my confidence and my life!!! Contact me here, as it seems you may have left an email address or similar on your post but think its been removed... Or contact me some other way, and ideas????

Hi, did the pserson who said they were going to ask for a referral to a specialist ever get there? I am still trying desperately to find a solution, and have even read about getting my tonsills removed, even though I really dont know if this is the cause, and also ive heard this op can be dangerous in adults, but im that desperate. Any help, please????

Bad breath is not just linked to oral hygiene and health!!!!!!

It can also be a sympton of or indicater of more serious underlying health issues, get yourself checked out, you've made the doctors job easier now by ruling out poor hygiene. personally I would be more embarassed that everyone I know hates talking to me, (yes they prob know that its you and not the baby again!) I don't say that to be nasty just to help put it in perspective! either ! nasty conversation (the doc) or every conversation is going to be nasty.

Good luck when you see the doc smile

it sounds to me as though this is not coming from your breath at all. Its more likely a digective problem and coming from the stomach. You must go to your Dr. this will not only ruin your life but anyone that you get close to will leave eventually if you dont get it sorted. I have experienced this as my husband suffered for years but couldnt or wouldnt go to a Dr it eventually ruin our relationship. I am now very happy with some one else and suprise suprise he has now been to Dr and sorted it out and wants me back. too late he should have had enough respect for me and himself to sort it b4 now. Please go to your Dr or find a Dr online who can advise you. It may even be serious so get it checked out. Why do you think Drs train all those years. Because they want to help people like yourself. This is why they get paid so well because they are the experts and you may be embaressed but they wont be. SORT IT

To the original poster: have you fixed your issue yet?? I have the same problem ... I've had it for years and am at the point were I am going to the doctor to get things fixed. Please letter me know if you fixed your issue, and how.

ive had \"fart mouth\" , what my friends used to call me, since i was 15 and im almost 22 now. and i can definately say its ruined my life. after seeing multiple doctors and getting reffered to sinus specialists and getting my tonsils removed, im still stuck at square 1, without an explanation, undiagnosed. im a male by the way, if it makes a diff

Ive had this problem for years. Ive seen loads of doctors and they all crap. I cut out dairy and found it improved quite a bit but it hasnt gone completely. I know it comes from my stomach, no amount of brushing, flossing, scraping and dentist visits make any difference.
