Anyone got any suggestions to help with bresting anxiety. I constantly feel like I can't breath today or that I am goin to forget how to breath it's driving me crazy.
Anyone relate to this or suggest amy thing other than trying to distract myself

Hey, just thought i should let you know your not alone, personally don't have the breathing side of anxiety mine Ian more like a clogged throats sensation, however my mother is similar to you. She has been through councilloring for her anxiety, unfortunately it didn't seem to help. Since then she takes citalopram prescribed by her doctor, which seems to be helping slightly.
Have you tried talking to a professional about this? As they can help find a root and try to find the best way to help you.
Hope you feel better soon as I know how much of a burden anxiety can be, stay strong.

Thanks for your reply I'm currently taking fluoxetine on week 10 of the med and it's helping slightly. I've done some mindfulness sessions while I wait for cbt but it's driving me nuts.
It's hard to work and I won't drive any where other than work as is scares the he'll out of me feeling like im goin to stop breathing or forget how to breath it's proper ruining my life
Ok i recommend give cbt once you are on the course and see if it helps. I know it is hard but just remind yourself that it's the anxiety and your body won't allow you to stop breathing, I hope you find I fort in knowing there at others out there.
