Hi all, I've been having breathing problems for 6 weeks now and it's changed my life. I feel a lot of throat tightness, constant air hunger, and fear of stopping breathing or running out of air. With every inhale, I'm happy I got some air, but feel like the next inhale won't work, and I will suffocate. I cannot exercise or enjoy life because of this awful condition. Asthma puffers don't work. Meditation and breathing exercises also don't help too much. It's really completely changed my life overnight! I am confused because I don't have any anxiety, other than frustration about this condition. It feels like the breathing problem caused my anxiety, not the other way around. I don't have any other anxiety symptoms. My therapist did some questionnaires with me, and I score as having low anxiety. I'm not sure how I can be getting such severe breathing symptoms with low anxiety. Anyone else out there feel like they have low anxiety, yet have strong physical symptoms, like breathing issues?
