Four weeks post left posterior/lateral hip revision. It has been a difficult & challenging month mainly because I took a fall 4 days before my surgery & suffered a radial head fracture of my right arm(yes right handed) Because of the fracture I have an arm adaptor on my walker. I cannot pick up anything of weight even a book, cannot brush teeth , brush hair, eat with right hand etc. My hip is healing nicely, my gait is somewhat jerky. Practicing gait by holding my hubby’s arm while he escorts me about at house. Not much hip pain, thankfully but my upper arm are so sore using the walker. I need help doing so much it’s discouraging! But the good news… i had my hip done 5 years ago & had leg length discrepency & too much angle on hip! NOW my legs are equal length & the surgeon fixed the angle so my hip doesn’t feel like it’s bulging from my body!!! Alot to be thankful for! Thanks for listening!
Oh goodness - what a horror story !really hope all goes really well for you from now on !
Cant imagine how hard this must be for you !
