I had my op last June having a plate and scews fitted now nearly a year later I have a lump half way up my scar on the outer side of my leg as anyone else had this happen? it fells soft to touch.
Its probably a local reaction to to one of the screws forming deep scar tissue. They are fairly common after this type of procedure. You can try kneading and massaging it ,but sometimes they just gradually disappear with no treatment.

Hello Janet, I have been on this forum for a couple of months. Started searching again today, as I have just discovered a lump in my scar. So i was relieved to read the reply of Marina. How are you getting on? I had my accident in June 2016, broken tib and fib, i have two plates and 6 screws. My major concern is this continuing stiffness in ankle which does not seem to improve.
