Should I be worried? Don’t want to extend details other then a picture as it hurts to even hold arm up to type. bruising began over 7 hours ago due to a puncture wound, photo taken just a few minutes ago. Clot? Should I go to the dr. I feel fine other than the terrible pain. This happened in the past again no major injury, I never saw a dr but this time seems worse...
Forgot to add it is on my arm, as can be seen but clarifying it is above my elbow on left arm. Feels a lot of pressure too...it’s not my leg so hoping It isn’t life threatening. I have researched phlebitis, DVT and superficial thrombosis, blood clots etc. Can’t pinpoint this and I feel I wasted this much time already and not dead yet so I am okay?
I does not look like a dvt to me but puncture wounds can cause serious infections as germs get pushed inside and they don’t bleed much to clean them out, I would get it looked at
I’m scared to know but I’ll have to I guess. Last I had something similar many months ago the swelling was subsided much more by now. Possible I heal on my own and didn’t think much of it before, but I am taking risk each time.
