Bulging veins and pain in Ankle/Foot

I have been suffering from ankle/foot pain for the last few weeks. I thought it was from exercising, but it just won't go away. I noticed that the veins on the back of my ankle are bulging as well and I had some swelling right underneath my ankle bone. The pain seems to be dull but radiates up into the back of my leg. Any thoughts?

Talk to your doctor as soon as you can. This does not sound right at all.

I am planning on going to the doctors on Saturday. It's the only time I can.

Go to the doctor asap. Does not sound good. Could be a sprain or hurt tendons. When I was in hospital there was a lady in the ward that had a broken bone in her ankle and was still able to walk. Rest it as much as you can and if it swells keep it elevated. Hope it's nothing serious. Let us know when the have been to the doctor. Good luck.

So I went to the doctors today. He didn't feel like it was necessary to do the blood clot ultrasound. He did an X-ray on my foot and ankle and said it looked fine. He suggested I wear compression socks so I got a pair of those. It's pretty amazing. They give instant relief right when I put them on.

I, too, an suffering ankle pain, worried if I will get right doctor. Dealing with Medicare insurance, in southern Calif, it is tarsus top bone of right foot, pain is going over side of that bone facing outside the foot.pain is so bad

painwill travel up my leg into thigh, must walk on the side of my foot, especially doing steps, I'm pain all day and wakes me up at night

need a Hmo referral in San Bernardino area, living in Crestline .

if anyone has a doctor very appreciative

does this sound familiar,,, a X-ray was done,,,said bone growing up on top of the tarsus bone?
