Had this bump on the side of my shaft for 2 months now. Wondering if anyone had any insight into what it could be?
Its not painful or itchy - heck i wouldn’t even know it was there if couldn’t see it.
I think its trying to heal as every 4/5 days there a think white layer of skin that peels once it gets hard - then I’m back to square 1 and the cycle starts again with new skin growing on the bump until that also peels.
Had a STI test panel which came back all negative. Tested for Herpes also which the clinician didn’t think it was but took a swab anyway (haven’t heard back so assuming that’s also negative)
Been washing it with Aqueous cream on advise on the clinic and applying E45 to keep it moisturised.
Might go back to clinic as that was 3 weeks ago and it is still the same but though id see if anyone here has any idea or has had similar.

Right so just an update for anyone interested
I went to a clinic and one of the two swabs that was taken in my first visit came back positive for HSV (herpes)
Doc said it was very unusual for it to have lasted this long as we are coming up to 2 months now which is atypical for herpes. And the usual symptoms which present with herpes were not there (no itching/burning sensation + no flu like illnesses)
Another full std panel was taken and will hopefully get results within the week
So he also has referred me to a specialist who will take a biopsy of the sore so they can look at it under a microscope + do other tests to try figure out why its lasting for so long
Felt like a punch in the gut but kind of makes sense it was herpes though now i think about it as when it first appeared i also had a really bad cold sore outbreak which has cleared up (had these for years on mouth but this outbreak was noticeably worse)
but yeah just thought id update this post
