Hi, a week ago i noticed this small skin coloured bump/spot on my penis shaft. Any ideas what it could be? has got me worried. Thanks!
It might be nothing to worry about, but could be a wart, so I'd get it checked out.
You could either see your GP, or if you're in the UK, you could go to a genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinic - google "GUM clinic near me" for details.
If you could update this thread and tell us what the doctors say, it would be appreciated. Good luck.
Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor.
I did go to the doctors a few days back, only got to see a nurse practitioner though. She said it didn't look "warty" and not to worry, just keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't chamge in size etc.
Still freaking out about it however! Think i am going to try and get an appointment with the GP
Thanks for the reply
It doesn't look warty to me either, and I'd be surprised it it really is one, but it's not worth getting worried about either way. If it is a wart, then it's about as mild as you can get, and looks easily treatable (though they can go away by themselves).
If you're in the UK, you'll get an appointment a lot faster at a GUM clinic than with your GP btw, and they specialise in this stuff, so I'd rather hear from them. They can also use acetic acid and/or UV light to test.
These links talk about warts (though like I said, it probably isn't one):

Update.
Doctor is concerned it is a small genital wart. Sending me to a specialist to confirm/deny this. Will update in week or so.
Looks like a small hpv wart , stage 1
What did the specialist say?
What was the outcome of this? Desperate to know.
How are you treating it?
Hi pal did you actually get a diagnosis? I had a small patch of skin that was raised very slightly, saw a specialist and they said it wasn't a wart, looked similar to what you have, she stretched it out and it faded quite a lot and she, said it felt like dry skin once stretched and said it doesn't look like a wart and she sees then several, times a day? So I'm not sure myself, does yours stretch and virtually vanish?
I had exactly the same spot as this guy. It went and came back. I was told it was nothing, but now I’ve been told that it is a very tiny wart (HPV). Although they weren’t 100% sure.
I saw a dermatologist and he said a wart would not stretch and vanish, he thinks irritaton from under wear, ive seen 2 sexual health people, 4 doctors and a dermo, they say my bumps are normal papule- i cant find a pic on net to match what i have and also warts look totally different, my lumps are clearly defined circular/oval but can only be seen when a light shined at an angle, im really confused
As am I. I’ve been to the clinic twice, the first time I was told it was nothing by the doctor and the second time I was told it is probably a wart by a different doctor. Neither have me a clear answer.
Stressfull tho isnt it pal, im sick of going and coming away unsure, problem is now as some have been unsure and some say doesnt look like , i just want a definate yes no answer, its like no one is willing to, ideally they should swab the area i think, they say testing on nhs is just visual, i think alot of peoples skin is different so hard to find a pic online and too much crap info on the net
Ive had the same, docs say its nothing but one proceeded to freeze it off so i’ll probs never know now , too much crap online and docs seem unsure, stressing me out massively
Yeah doctors did the same with me. I can’t find anything resembling online either.
Hi, I have the same lump as you described. Did you ever get to the bottom of it? Or ever had any reoccurrences? Mine resembles a singular tiny cloudy dome
did you ever findout?
find out? you findout what it is?
