hi
today while i was lying down on my bed, i noticed a bump/swollen area over my ribs on the left side. its higher than the other side. it doesnt hurt, and it isnt tender, but im really freaked out. of course google said cancer. its not hard, it feels like normal skin just puffy. but its definitely there. kinda looks like im growing a boob under my boob… has anyone else had something similar? im 15.. super freaked out

i agree with globus kid. have it checked out by a doctor for your peace of mind. don’t google anything. It doesn’t pertain to your individual situation and you will just scare yourself . Hang in there.
Hi there, I’m a 16-year-old that also has extreme health anxiety and worried herself to death about breast cancer not that long ago (around your age, maybe a little younger). The one GOOD thing I found out through google is that it’s virtually impossible for a teenager to get breast cancer.
It’s literally a one in a million chance.
So, I wouldn’t worry yourself to death about it. c: Do get it checked, but I wouldn’t be all that concerned about it. What you described doesn’t really sound like cancer anyway. As far as I know tumors are usually hard, not soft.
