On February 3rd I began to experience a sore throat exclusively on my right side. I went to the university clinic and was tested for strep, which came back negative. I brushed it off as a lingering cold for a while, and then went back yesterday. They prescribed antibiotics and didn’t seem to think it was a big deal. Afterward I did some poking around in my mouth, because I thought it was odd that the sore throat was only occurring on one side, and found these bumps on what I’ve researched to be my anterior tonsillar pillar. I was wondering what it is, if this is anything to be concerned about and if it could be related to my problem?
Info about me: 25 / male / smoke 3x day / drink 2x week
edit: apologies for thread title. I meant to make it “Bumps on tonsillar pillar and sore throat”, but I became distracted, forgot to complete it and then realized later the title cannot be edited
