I don't really want to post pictures unless I have to, hoping someone will have some insight based on my explanation. I recently (a few weeks ago) shaved my entire pubic area because I was going on a beach vacation. Last week or so, I noticed 3 bumps on my pubic area (not around my vulva) that I figured were ingrown hairs, but one looked more like a pimple than anything. They were NOT painful, maybe a little itchy. I was messing with them (bad I know) and they bled so I put some antibiotic ointment on them. They scabbed over, and tonight I noticed the scabs had fallen off but they were still pretty red underneath, not bloody anymore though. I believe I may have a yeast infection as there is still some itchiness down there, but no other symptoms. The logical part of my brain knows these are most likely infected ingrown hairs, but I am so anxious that they are herpes sores.
Based on your description it’s probably a razor burn, but no one can tell you for sure without seeing it.
