Hello recently I have been starting to get these pimple like/white head/red head bumps on my penis head only. They are not big but just small and scattered randomly. They come one day and dissapear the next. Recently they were gone but I masturbated unfortunately and got them the next day. Can this be related? I’m thinking it might be balanitis but not sure. If anyone with knowledge can share. They don’t hurt just look bad. My penis tip urethra opening is swollen a bit too.

Hi Jim, this is starting to sound like Balanitis when I first noticed my BXO. Typically, the Lichen spots look like a pin-prick near the surface and become darker underneath the surface layers of skin. The issue with your uretra, and the worsening after masturbation fits too.

Avoid any build-up of bodily fluids in the entire penile region. You also need to create a 'chemical free-zone' at the tip of your penis - if you are uncircumcised, ALWAYS draw the foreskin as far forward as possible [away from body] then shower, wash hair, etc - then, expose the head of the penis and wash with the water only technique, again, dry 100% as soon as you are out of the shower. If you use lube, baby oil, skin cream when you masturbate this could be causing a reaction and the worsening of the symptoms.
See you your symptoms get on after 3 or 4 weeks of this. If things get worse you either need to get to see a Dermatologist, or the best approach is to along to a Sexual Health Service and ask to speak to a Urologist ...
