totally freaking out! Thought I'd turned a corner with my anxiety. Was just feeling up and down my leg and hit a little bump just off from my shin in the left. Don't know if it's a lump or what! now I've been crying for the last hour thinking it's bone cancer. Please help.
Try not to stress too much. There are a ton of bumpy things in your shins, bones, tendons, muscle. Can you feel something similar in the other shin? Does it hurt? I imagine if you have been poking at it for a while that it probably is a little tender by now. If you absolutely can't stop obsessing about it, go have your GP check it out. I would be shocked if it was anything abnormal!
Sometimes we can get a little fatty deposits under the skin which are no big deal.
people get all kinds of lumps and bumps's on their bodies and 99.9% are not serious.
your mind is going to the negative and worst case scenario.
yes, follow up with your doctor so you can have peace of mind. You are going to drive yourself crazy if you panic over every thing you find on your body.
do some slow deep breathing and make the appointment.
I would be willing to bet that you will be just 100% fine! 😁❤️
For your peace of mind see a doctor right away, not because it's what you think it is, but because the anxiety which you must be feeling is not something which you should have to experience, as it often feels like your dying and is just not worth sitting about on. As for the lump: fatty deposits, cellulite, bruising ( even if you didn't realize, my mum bent over a chair and broke her rib and didn't realize) and thousands of other possibilities. Bone cancer has lots of symptoms, you would have felt affects before you found the lump, months before infact. Please keep calm, writing this is making me anxious so I have no idea how you must be feeling right now, and I know it's awful, and I know it feels impossible to ignore, so just do stuff. Go for a walk, be with people, animals are also a good distraction, if you find yourself looking up symptoms be careful, because your anxiety will make you aware of every feeling within your body, but also create new ones, should you have seen them on a symptoms list, so best to avoid that, and instead look up fatty deposits etc. But talk to a gp, for them to give you reasurence which I'm am certain you will receive, you are healthy, you are well and you are safe.
