I had bunion surgery on my left foot 8/6/14, my foot been in a lot of pain lately!! I have wear a tight fit sock so it can feel better and my foot is still puffy what should I do?
Hang in there, it should feel better soon . I had surgery 7/9/14 and my swelling has just recently gone away, the doctor told me it can take months for the puffiness to go away.
Hi I had surgery on 19th august, toes still feel swollen at end of day. I am wearing a support sock day and night, feels much better with it on.
My doctor told me the puffyness may stay a while or could come & go for up to a year. Whatever it is a year later is permanent. It's going to take a while for the swelling (puffyness) to go away and anytime it's used alot it will swell. Keep elevation g & icing it when this happens.
Awww........Hope you feel better soon. I know it's hard. You try and get one thing better and something else comes up.
Hi Precious, I had my surgery 6/9/2014, more than 5 months ago. I still cannot wear most of my shoes. The swellling is always there, but my doc said 3-6mos, and maybe up to a year of swelling. Fortunately, I live at the beach, so I've been wearing Fit Flops (which I adore....they feel so good and supportive) ever since I was able to walk after 6 weeks. I'm very curious to see what my foot looks like next June. I would never do my other one, at this point. But my result was just not good. I have many friends who have beautiful feet after surgery. I also have pain, not all the time, but every now and then. Good luck.
