Had bilateral TKR 5 months ago. Experienced burning sensation on bottom of both feet about 10 days post-op...and still there now!......but does appear to be slowly improving with time. Burning sensation is symetrical in both feet in different (but same place on each foot) places at different times. Lying down gives relief, and is OK at night. Has anyone else experienced anything similar after knee replacements????
My walking gait has changed significantly following knee replacements (no longer bow-legged), and thinking this may have changed the weight -bearing dynamics on my pelvis/back, causing nerve entrapment???
brucebp, my Dad had both knee replacements, but, with two different surgeons from same facility. Left knee, he has zero problems with post op.& But, right knee, severe problems. Used a zip line closure. Almost 1 1/2 years ago. I notice that his walking is different. Also, pressure on his pelvis/back area too. I will ask him if he has the problems you are having and will get back to you. Take care.
I have had TKR both on same knee and have not experienced any burning sensations in my feet. I do suffer nerve pain since the last one was done. It may be nerve pain your suffering. How long is it since your op? I would see the GP as it is best to get it checked out.
