Burning pain and early menopause

Hi there,

i have recently entered early menopause and have been experiencing severe burning in my hands and face. I went to a London clinic and began taking estrogel (non bio HrT) and felt that the severe burning became worse and started to come in my feet (agony) as well as hands. Since stopping im now experiencing burning in my face that feel like a hot sensation mainly at night that stays for a couple of hours. Also im experiencing severe burning in my upper right arm in the tricep area. Anybody else experiencing anything similar?

Thanks in advance.

Menopause is the stage which all women have to face in their life time. The average age for menopause is 51. when menopause occurs before 40 then it is called early or premature menopause. one who is has early or post menopause, must suffered from various problems. Burning in hands, legs and arms is one of the problem caused by this. This is nothing but tingling extremities or paresthesia. You feel hot sensations, numbness, and something pinching on your hand or arm. it is because of hormones fluctuations, anxiety and may be due to other medical reasons like Nerve injury, Stroke, lack blood supply, injuries on spinal chord, weakness, Loss of consciousness and reaction of some medicine. This can be cured by having balanced diet, stay hydrated, regular exercise, massage, make a daily routine or make some changes in your daily life, take proper sleep of 7-8 hours, avoid liquor consumption, say no to smoking, eat food with low saturated fat and rich of vitamin E and C, and in worst case go for medication. Hope this will help you. Good Luck.

Hi Cassie, sounds like hot flashes/flushes they can start in feet and go all the way up through body especially to the face, it feels hot red and like burning fire. How old are you? You say you're in early menopause? Foods can trigger the hot flashes/flushes.. I don't get them, but do get the awful sweats at night. Anyway watch the diet, no processed foods, lots of fruits and veggies, no sugar.. Not a very good time in life when you have to go through this change, lots of awful awful symptoms that can make you swear you're dying, ( but you're not) so just be kind to yourself and all you can do is take this one day at a time. And talk to other woman going through same thing so you don't feel so alone!!!

Last night was a bad night for me...I woke up with a headache and sweating. I felt like my head was exploding. I was worried it was my blood pressure but the machine confirmed that was ok. I figured peri since I'm 41. I couldn't go back to sleep and ended up finding relief on the cold tile floor.
