I have burning pain in shaft of penis and tip of penis and pressure feeling between the balls. I had unprotected sex with someone who told me 2 months later that she had chlamydia. I already started to have some pain in the penis a week after and thought it was probably because of the injury doing the rough sex, Pain didnt get better with Advil and i had no discharge or other signs of infections. After she told me about the infection I took Rocephin shot and Zithromax but it didn't feel better. I repeated the course but again it didn't help, then I spoke to a urologist who tested me and I was neg for Chlamydia GC HIV HSV 1/2 Hepatitis B/C and urine culture was neg as well, he examined my penis and said it has no signs of injury and while he was feeling my prostate I felt pain worsened, He said my prostate is boggy and suggested that i likely have prostatitis and the test and culture could be neg due to recent antibiotics, he started me on Levaquin and Doxycycline and with a week I started to feel a whole lot better but sadly after 10 days I had to stop these for 5 days as i was running the New York Marathon(I regret doing it so much but I had paid so much money to run the race and didnt know that this problem can become chronic). The pain and burning came back with a vengeance. i started Levaquin snd doxy again on Nov 5 and still taking them, my stomach is tore, muscles hurting but no relief this time in pain, i have little burning when i urinate as well. I also got CT Pelvis with contrast to make sure i dont have any abscess and it came back normal. I do have few good hours but mostly when i am running or had nothing to eat. I am considering starting Zithromax if these don't help after 30 days of use. I read few ppl experiences and see the have this issue for momths was hoping someone would say that they are better or cured so i have hope and I would keep taking these terrible antibiotics for longer time. I am in constant pain, very very depressed, unable to run and not able to concentrate at work and making mistakes. Please reply if you have any info and if anyone had prostatits and you got cured!
My advice would be if you feel you have a good working relationship with the Urologist to work together with them until you find a way of resolving this …
