I recently had a water infection about two months ago I had antibiotics which cleared it up but I was left with this burning sensation down there
I got so paranoid I went and had all std checks and they came back negative
I was even checked for thrush and baterial vaginitis which came back clear
It’s driving me mad and worrying me at the same time
Any feed back would be great
I don't see why you should let your mind run wild, even after your test results have proven that you're fine. Worrying does nothing but create a problem that shouldn't even be there in the first place that would gradually ruin one's life.
Perhaps you over-medicated yourself with the antibiotics. You know that using too much of antibiotics could kill the body's microbiota/normal flora or create resistance to antibiotics, don't you? I'm not saying that it is the case here; I'm only saying that if you pop pills so easily, you just might want to slow down on it.
Make sure to avoid washing down there with soap or these chemical-loaded vaginal washes, etc. Wash it thoroughly with just water. Avoid the chemicals because not only are they likely to create serious disease for you, they kill the natural biota and alter vaginal pH, which is a precursor of infections. With that said, practice this and give a little more time and see how things play out for you. I'm always here to help. All the best.
Thank you and yes you’re right worrying is pointlessness
I only had 3 days of antibiotics as the nurse said there was only only a slight infection there
I know I don’t have UTI I don’t get anyburning when I Pee it’s juat a constant burn down there
I understand. Just give it a little more time and stay positive for the treatment to work. Check back with your nurse if need be. But don't freak out. I do experience birthing sensation when I pee sometimes, but it never bothers me and it's never been a problem either. So, I don't think it's necessarily a problem. The important thing is that you're receiving treatment. Enjoy your weekend, and feel free to send a message.
