Burning sensation started on face then now on stomach, loss of appetite

I had a severe anxiety attack and deep depression that started two weeks ago. Within one week I lost 6lbs.Im on Elavil at 10mg once a day, but it seems like all it does is make me fall asleep fast cuz I still wake up around 4am feeling depressed and very low. I've had this before but was able to overcome it and now it seems like nothing is working. Im very scared that I might lose it. I'm also very scared of how much weight I'm losing and why can't I have an appetite

Then now im having like a flushy burning sensation on my face and stomach but no sweats or red color on my face. It makes my mouth very dry. Has any one ever experience this? And is it a symptom of anxiety? Help please. Thank you!

Hi

Sorry to hear your having a bad time. Iv suffered with extreme anxiety for the past 6 weeks now, iv lost 1&1/2 stone as my appetite is non existent. The hotness/burning your feeling is probably due to your anxiety. I get the sane hot feelings without any redness or sweating. I know it's not a nice feeling but try not to worry.

Thank you very much! It sure feel good to know that someone else is feeling what I'm feeling. I've been searching on the net to see what may have been causing it and one thing that i came across was Carcinoid tumor. That gave me more anxiety that I just had to knock myself to sleep to stop the anxiety. Lol.

Anyhow, my GP is running some TSH

Sorry I wasn't done replying and somehow accidentally click reply..

Anyways back to what I was going to say, my doc said he'll run TSH and FSH test to see if I may be having premature menapouse. Which is shocking to me cuz I just turned 33! He said to do so just to rule things out and hammer in my head that there's nothing wrong with me. I'm hoping the flushes is not due to premature menopause but a symptom of my anxiety. But the thing is I started feeling the hotness on my face and chest before my anxiety came on. I was thinking it has something to do with maybe an allergic reaction to a clothing material. Cuz I noticed I started having the feeling when we started wearing uniforms at work. But my doc said if it's allergic reaction I would have other symptoms not just hot flushes.

Oh well i guess I'll just have to be patient and wait for the results.
