I have been suffering from a major, intense burning sensation on my front upper thigh for the past year and a half. I’ve gotten referrals to doctors to check my veins in my legs, my lower back, and my bones. I have been describing the painful burn to my primary care physician but she doesn’t have a clue on what treatment that I need.
Sometimes it burns so much that it becomes numb to the touch. I do believe that it’s my nerves because none of the specialist have been able to pinpoint the problem. After doing a ton of research online, I have narrowed it down to meralgia paresthetica. I have an appointment with a neurologist and I am hoping to get some answers and some relief.
I have had physical therapy, MRIs, injections, and tons of medications from pain management and nothing has helped. Has anyone else been through this? If so, how did you get it resolved?
