Bursitis following thr

Has anybody had experience of bursitis to post a total hip replacement? I suffered from bursitis for two years prior to my hip replacement. I was relatively pain-free for the first nine months after my hip replacement which was aug 2018 but gradually the bursitis started coming back again. I’ve had a couple of guided steroid injections but stupidly I went straight back to running within a week of the last one so kind of negated the benefits that it was giving. My consultant has given me IT band exercises as he feels the IT band is pressing on the bursa and I’ve been given strength exercises for the glutes and quads. I have Salsa danced ans taught salsa dancing for nearly 25 years I cycle regularly run Garden and I’ve always been very active so it was quite young for hip replacement at the age of 58. Now nestly two years on the pain from bursitis s is unbearable. I can only walk for two minutes at the most so although I have a young family I can’t shop or cook for them properly now I can’t look after my garden and I’m feeling miserable with the pain I get 3 to 4 hours sleep a night despite being on paracetamol codeine ibuprofen pregablin. i think doing JO Wicks set it off big time . i m waiting to see the consultant again but at a telephone consult 2- weeks ago he said that they can put another guided injection in to tide me over once radiology open up again but steroids being a big no-no because of Covid even though this isn’t systemic steroid they won’t do anything at the moment . Ultimately he suggested he cut a window in the IT band to remove the oressure and remove the bursa which will grow back but hopefully not in this angry state. Has anybody experience with this type of operation. The pain is both on the outside of the lake at the attachments for the IT band is but also it’s causing cramping on the inside side in fact the pain is almost everywhere and it’s difficult to differentiate where it’s coming from now.
