Buspirone Dizziness

I am desperate for answers. I started Buspirone 10mg twice a day 2 days ago. Every time I take it it makes me so dizzy and nauseous, and I was already suffering with dizziness. I really want to stop it, but right now I don't have any other options and worry I am not giving it enough time. Does the dizziness go away?

Hi Jeff, if it hasn’t gone away in 4 weeks or so. I would do gene testing …the cheek swab. Some insurances cover it. Mine did. I did it after 3 other attempted meds that gave me horrible side effects including the one your on. It will give you a listing of meds that would best coincide with your genes, some mid range that could work and a list of ones you shouldn’t take. I had 15 I shouldn’t take listed so, I’m thankful I didn’t continue with the trial and error. Just before doing it I almost was prescribed one to try on that list. Worth a shot though if you don’t get relief. All the best. Hope you feel better soon. Take Care. Meclizine over the counter is worth a shot to relieve the dizziness but, of course check with your doctor to see if you can take that with your med. It said it would give me problems with my med that causes dizziness too but, I’m on it now and not having issues. It’s actually calming my dizziness down for the first time but, I had my dizziness before the med I believe due to vertigo so, I don’t know if it’s just that still causing mine or my med is still causing that to linger.
