hi everyone. Has anyone used butran patches without getting an itch or rash at the application site ? I'm not on them yet but my doctor has said it's an option to use for my chronic pain. Currently on Tramdol and paracetemol. Any success stories or advice would be great.

If I don't move the patches about, the area does get a wee bit itchy, but I can't say it really bothers me very much. Not enough to not use them.
I think as long as you use alternite areas on your body, it hopefully should be okay. I have heard of people who's skin was too itchy to use them. But I'm fine.

also, do you find them a lot better for pain relief than tablets ?
hi jimmy i rotate mine from arm to shoulder to give all 4 sites left and right .i have been on the patches for 2 years now and havent had an itch problem. im also on a opiate lquid pain killer called oxycodone its for chronic pain so maybe goggleit or talk to your dr about it as it works good luck mate graham

hi mate yes i know the pain is there but all i feel is a very dull ache and i can live with that as without it its pure hell as im sure you know your self. but yes the combination works for me. graham

I have been on Butrans for 8 months now, and for the first few months I was fine, no itch. But now I have an itch,and is driving me nuts.
Is there anyone out there who's had the same reaction? The pain relief is not bad, about 75% better. But my skin is getting worse. If I could get some kind of cream that would help. HELP!
