Buttock Aches 10 Months After Hip Replacrment

it is 10 months since I had a Right THR. my left leg is slightly shorter than my right so I wear a very thin orthotic in my left shoe. I had a stress fracture in my right knee 5 months after my op and a fracture of bones under the ball of my left foot. both are improving a bit, but now I have a dull ache in the centre of the right buttock. i have been doing a lot of walking recently and some of it was up hill pushing my 3 year old grandchild in the pram. Could this be the cause of my ache and stiffness can anyone give me advice on what I should do? I would be so grateful, I dont want to ring my syrgeons office again!

HI, I am 9 months post op from anterior THR
and I had the same pain at around 7 months I think for no certain reason. I just do my normal daily stuff around house and I also run a daycare so I am up moving all day long 5 days a week. Mine eventually went away but even as much as I am up moving all day
I still can not walk long distance without it bothering me a good bit. That drives me crazy because I use to could walk 4-5 miles at one time even before surgery and now i barely can do 2! I hope you get better soon!

I am 10 months and just started hula hooping it has helped me so much but ask doc first x

i understand your reluctance to keep phoning for advice, but as a friend said when I expressed a similar reluctance, ‘These guys get paid a lot of money, you must put yourself first, and let them do their job’ So give the office a ring. Good luck.

take it easy with pushing and pulling things. it can cause muscle cramps and tendon tightening.
