Hi. Does anyone who has BV have mild symptoms but is worsened by the summer heat or showers? I sometimes have mild symptoms until these two things and then I start itching. Thanks!
I dont have the itching at all. But I do notice a stronger smell after I shower or go swimming. The heat probably is not good for the bacteria, and causes it to react. Thats what Im thinking.

My itching was so bad I was itching sores open. I took medicine for 7 days no improvement. I went to an ob gyn she tested the sores for herpes, came back negative. So now it taking meds again. I went thru menopause, not sexually active. I will have a biopsy soon then a high dose of steroids. In 3 weeks. For now medicine, peramin and benadryl. Peramin is for estrogen and menopause. I sleep good no itching. My ob gyn said it is treatable for sure. I only had the itching. Now haven't itched in 3 days really. I feel good. Good luck.
Wow that’s crazy. Bv is awful. I’m in menopause but can’t take hormones bc of a dvt years ago. So no hormones for me.
I take estrogen because I'm so dry. I have atopical vaginaness I think is what they call it . Good luck.
Yes it will get worse on summer months or hot weather. For itchiness I use organic virgin coconut oil because it's anti inflammatory.
