Hello,
I have been suffering BV on and off for a few months now no itching or discharge just the smell. Well I read a lot of post on this site and decided to try the vitamin c insert this evening well when I went to the bathroom I noticed a yeast smell, is that normal?
Thank you
Hi Jay,
I'm exactly the same - try zinc and vitamin c oral capsules as well as 2 billion probiotic capsules - I'm not sure where you are based but you can get a one month supply from Boots in the UK.... Let me know how you get on!

That's was meant to say 20 billion!
Hi Jay,
I have been suffering for 6 years with Chronic BV. I have tried the vitamin C inserts and it does seem to help with the odor, but doesn't cure the problem. I recently came across a discussion on here with a lot of really good information and yesterday I started taking probiotics. While there are a lot offered, you must make sure that your probiotics contain Reuteri and Rhamnosus. Apparently these are the only two strains of lactobacillus that can survive the digestive track and make it to where it needs to be. There has also been a lot of discussion regarding low progesterone levels causing chronic BV, so you may want to have that checked as well.
Here is the link to the discussion just in case you haven't come across it.

For the first time in 6 years I feel hopeful that I can get this under control and maybe enjoy a normal life!
I wish you all the best and hope that you find something that works for you!
