I had an abdominal myeomectomy 3 years ago. Very large fibroid 20+cm and multiple smaller ones removed. The consultant who did my op said I can give birth vaginally. I am now 35 weeks pregnant and under consultant care, they do not have my previous medical notes but do not seem to think I need a c section. I had one miscarriage in between and was on a waiting list to have more fibroids removed again just before discovering I was pregnant. The current fibroids have not got bigger. Had anyone had a vaginal birth after a myeomectomy, I am now nervous as everyone I have spoken to has had a c section. No one seems worried about my previous myo surgery, but I am also concerned they do not have my medical records and at my last few scans etc with the doctor/consultant they said I was there because the baby was small which was news to me. Advice would be much appreciated.
