Having been taking the blueys 4 three weeks (lost 4kg) am finding it hard keeping the fat down to 30g and the calories up between 1200-1400 as posted on here. Have only had 1170 calories 2day but the fat is up 2 30g Ryvita 4 brekkie, wafer thin slice of beef in a wholemeal roll, kelloggs mini breaks, a apple 4 lunch and a weight watcher meal and yog for tea 2nite. The last 3 days the calories have been about the same. Come the evening I'm starving!!!!
Try changing WHAT you are eating. Pick up a bag of salad in the supermarket - you can eat the whole thing and it's about 30 calories (that's off the top of my head - check it).
I've cut out sandwiches, they don't fill me up enough. I've discovered ready meals (I used to be someone who made everything from scratch) All the supermarkets have their own brand low fat 'healthy' versions. A roast beef dinner might be about the same in calories as a sandwich, but I know which one keeps me full for longer.
I now eat loads of veg and a bit of salad.
One day last week
Breakfast
melon, dry fried mushrooms, one slice of edam (half melted into the mushrooms) and 3 slices of boiled ham
194 calories 8.6g fat
Lunch
birds eye chilli with potato wedges
255 calories 6.3g fat
evening meal
chick Kiev
boiled new potatoes
carrots
courgette
brocolli
cabbage
366 calories 16.5g fat (yes I know I cheated)
that's only 800ish calories - the rest was made up with half a bottle of wine.
Well I was also like Sashh....everything was cooked from fresh but yest. I shopped in Sainsburys (no local store) and bought a ready meal...yes it was great for convenience but I did find it very salty and was very thirsty all evening. I add some fresh broad beans someone had given us from their garden and I found the meal was very satisfying apart from the saltiness. So, so convenient though. I also was able to buy Laughing Cow cheese triangles which I couldn't get at home. My hubby wondering what on earth was keeping me as I was really searching for all things good...also got the lean mince, Good for You stuff...and cooked it today and notice the lack of fat in it. 4.5 grams per 100 grams....that's so much lower than even 'lean' stuff.
yeah the sainsburys good for you extra lean mince is amazingly low in fat by comparison, my only gripe is the pack size as i only cook for 2 so i tend to make a massive batch of bolognaise and then freeze portions which i later defrost and reheat, use it on pasta, jacket potatoes, with rice etc
