Calories am i eating enough?

I HAVE LOST WEIGHT BUT IM NOT SURE IF THIS IS DOWN TO THE FACT IM NOT EATING MUCH AN EXAMPLE DAY WOULD BE.

CEREAL AND MILK

SOUP

VEGETABLES AND POTATOES.

HOW MANY CALORIES SHOULD I HAVE?

I think it is important to realise that, whatever changes you make to your diet now. Will eventually become your lifestyle. A usual day of me is:-

Breakfast- cereal and skimmed milk with a coffee

Lunch- wholemeal pitta bread with either cottage cheese or houmous and salad, chopped fruit and natural yoghurt

Dinner- try and eat with the family, although no potatoes, pasta or carbs as such. As much veg as you can eat. I try to avoid dark meats so I stick to chicken or fish.

If I find I'm hungry during the day I'll eat celery or cucummber with low fat dip- sour cream and chive. Or nuts, dried fruit or yet more chopped fruit and greak yoghurt.

Try not to deny yourself food as otherwise thats all you'll think of, fruit on it's own is known to bloat you rather than fill you up...

doctor told me you must eat as much as 1500 cals a day or your body thinks its starving itself and will therefore hold onto fat. the rosemary conely diet is a good one 8)

It depends on your weight to start with, I am 14st 5lb's and I have to eat 1600 cal's.

if you don't eat enough your weight loss will slow because your body will think that it is being starved and will try to preserve fat.

Eat a balanced diet, low in fat plenty of exercise.

I sound like I find it easy, I don't if I did I wouldn't be on the tab's! LOL
