Can a keto diet or intermittent fasting cause early morning awakening?

Ever since going on a keto diet and starting intermittent fasting 16 hours/day, I wake up 3-4 am and can’t fall back asleep. I’ve tried making various modifications to both the diet and fasting schedule, but nothing has helped.

Can someone please explain to me HOW a keto diet and/or intermittent fasting could cause this?

And what can I do about it? HELP!
