Hiya im just wondering if an anal fissure can cause mucus... i have been havin bowel pain latley and went to a&e when it got so bad.. while i was there the doc felt inside my bum as i told her a week or so before i had a fortnight of stingin when pooping...blood and mucus when i wiped aftarwards.. she found nothing when she felt.. i thought it would have been caused by an anal fissure and thought well it must have healed if she cant feel anything. But it did sting as she was feeling around..anyway i went t my doc and told her and she said anal fissures wouldnt cause mucus to be on the toilet paper so now im really worried.. the mucus and blood have now stopped... and the stinging... but with my bowel huring and the doc saying an anal fissure wouldnt cause mucus has got me worried..can anyone help? i am a fellow fissure sufferer but recently have also developed piles which are worse !,,,,I never had them before and I know that one of the other symptoms of piles is mucus and that fissures and piles can be connected so it's probably internal piles .....google haemmoroids its informative ! ...good luck .,
Thankyou for replying... although im not too sure i jave piles as im in no pain down there anymore... i would have thought it would have confinued woth piles... im just having pain in my lower left abdomen now. .its all so confusing... good luck to you too
