Hello. I'm not sure if age or gender will affect this, but I'm 18 and female. I noticed a few days ago that my anxiety was worsening again just like it does every week before my period. It didn't surprise me since this happens every month, but this month and last month, I've noticed that not only does it make me more wary around people and less talkative, but when I do talk, I sometimes stammer, stop halfway through to change my wording, or accidentally say words in the wrong order because I'm trying to change my wording. I've had mono for about two months now and was worried that it could be somehow causing some sort of neurological damage, but it has only happened when my anxiety is really bad so far. I don't have trouble with it if I'm alone and singing to something, but I do when talking to other people. Do any of you know if anxiety can cause stammering, or if I may have another problem? I'm out of town so I can't see a doctor now and this is really worrying me.
Dear anxiety does that. We call it mixed word. It happened to me as well because I was struggling to concentrate and I used to say somethings that are meaningless.. Well if u can calm down..try to relax.. You will. Be fine..
Thank you so much for replying. It really had me worried since there are always so many things that can cause it and it had been hard to find anyone else who had experienced this.
