hi there, I have been on sertraline for 4 weeks and previous on Mirtalpine . I have a big problem I constantley swallow and gulp all the time so taking in extra air so it leaves me with a tight and very bloated stomach, does anybody else suffer with this , it's every day and I'm so uncomfortable, it's making my life hell xx

i have just been on sertraline for 2 weeks and coming off venlafaxine. I haven't had those symptoms. Hope it passes soon for you x
I'd say its anxiety that's making u do that and sertraline will go through patches of increase that.
Hi Sarah I've been on them three weeks and my stomach is full of acid which is really uncomfortable but I'm not constantly swallowing though
Hi I've been on sert for a few months now and feeling better. Recently I saw a therapist and she explained when anxiety and panic is increased you take more breathes and gulp/swallow more as the anxiety is making you breathe faster and you are swallowing for more air in your lungs. Which made sense don't know if this relates to you but you may found it useful x
