I got a benadryl IV push three weeks ago in hospital and immediately after that I started having severe panic attack symptoms. Since then I've still been feeling like that! It was on and off in the beginning and now it's constant but the doctors can't find anything physically wrong and keep putting it all off as panic attacks. Is it possible for benadryl to cause panic attacks? I thought it did the opposite.

I went to the ER around 2 months ago for an extremely bad migraine that I’ve never gotten before and after getting the IV push i had the worst panic attack of my life. I was shaking, I was slurring my words. I literally thought I was dying. The nurses probably thought I was insane.
I asked my boyfriends mom about it later, who is an ER nurse, and she said if they push the IV too quickly it can cause some people to have panic attacks.

Benedryl is an incredibly powerful drug and it certainly can promote anxiety and panic attacks. Stay away from it, it appears you are particularly sensitive to it.
