I’m just wondering as I have experienced a few different symptoms each time Xx
Also wondering if anxiety can make you feel spaced out on a daily basis?
I was wondering the same. Because everything I've read, people have experienced the same or slightly different symptoms xx
The symptoms of anxiety are vast. Anything and everything to he honest. From aches and pains feeling tired insomnia stomach issues headache heart and breathing problem itching shaking lack of appetite I could go on. I have had a few different symptoms but I always get a standard 4 or 5 i can rely.on.
Sure, I've had two different kinds of anxiety attacks but they both generally are the same even though they felt different. One I got super adrenaline rush and paced the floor, my arms and legs went numb and my heart rate went up. The second one my vision went blurry and the room got really big I felt like my skin was vibrating and then I started to shake. When it stopped I was left sweaty and shaking in a ball.
As I have episodes come on where I am short of breath, shaky and tight chest. Then I also have episodes where I go dizzy and short of breath as well although I am in sertraline so it could be effects of that as I have never had as many episodes like this before . Xx
Both are with increased heart rate and or pins and needles in arms
I hate the pins and needles in the arms and legs. It's a surge of adrenaline where your body goes into fight or flight mode
Sounds like the symptoms are just different ones for being short of breath. Dizzy from short of breath or tight muscles from short of breath. Also depending on which muscles get tight when you panic it can have different effects. If your neck gets tight you might get lightheaded whereas if your shoulders get tight you might get chest tightness...
My best explanation of why some feel different then others but are the same general idea.
The thing is I feel dizzy and light-headed all the time, would this be anxiety. Because I do get a panicked feeling when am having them and tingling. And the feeling as though am not here. It's so confusing x
Thank you, that does help.
As you start to feel.anxious you then panic. I am the same. It then spirals into all the other symptoms. The tingling is awful. It's exhausting and literally drains you physically and mentally x
I understand a bit better after reading this! My doctor didn’t really explain much about it. I also have acid reflux which doesn’t help situation as that can give you chest tightness as well xx
Yes it can. Are you on any meds or receiving any treatment for it x
Meds for the acid reflux?? As I have been told to try gaviscon atm x
Good old gaviscon!!! No sorry I meant meds for panic attacks?? X
Oh hahaha! Yes I’m on sertraline but it seems to have heightened my anxiety to start with xx
That's very normal. Around week 2 on citalopram my anxiety went through the roof. I could slewpmor eat and the anxiety symptoms were unbearable. I had a low short course of diazepam and propanolol. They really helped and I was able to wean off them easily. It will get better but unfortunately it takes a while. Do you have support around You. It's really.important especially when you start on the meds x
I do thank you yes! I live with my boyfriend and he is really trying! I just always worry that my issues aren’t anxiety and that they are serious issues as I haven’t had all the tests but I’m waiting on my bloods. Today I have had a lot of chest tightness and it just worries me xx
I'm certain it's anxiety especially as it's got worse since taking the meds. Hive yourself time. Just rest and relax and do whatever makes you feel safe and comfortable. You didn't feel.like this overnight and unfortunately it doesn't get better quickly. You will get better though. Have you thought of therapy or counselling. I'm starting a group course soon to help with stress panic and anxiety. I think we need to rewire how our brains react to things x
