I’m on month 4 of mono right now, and I seem to be having a symptom flare up consisting of intermittent low-grade fevers, enlarged spleen, and general malaise. My mom got a cold around the same time these symptoms started, but I do not seem to have a cold as of yet. Can exposure to common infections cause a symptom flare-up? I’m terrified at the prospect of chronic mono, and am hoping is yes.
