Can Gallbladder Issue Cause Gastritis?

So, I've been dealing with gastritis for a year and a half now. Diagnosed with an endoscopy, negative for H. Pylori. As far as my gastroenterologist says, it's just gastritis. However, nothing has helped my acid reflux and stomach pain. I have limited my diet to literally nothing more than potatoes, the leanest of meat, gluten free bread, gluten free rice noodles, and eggs, heavily limiting the yolk fat. No seasoning, no dairy, nothing. I only drink water. And yet, I still have acid reflux daily, as well as stomach pain.

For medication, I was on 40 milligram Nexium, generic, for a couple of months with no improvement as far as I can tell. I'm on 60 milligram Dexilant now, going on a couple of weeks so far, yet still no improvement that I can see. Today, in fact, I ate a plain potato, nothing else. Got reflux. Even when I just drink water, I get morre reflux. I have been managing my stress quite well lately. The only time I ever feel any kind of stress any more is when my reflux is triggered and my thoat gets that tight feeling, all day, every day.

Is it possible that it's a gallbladder problem? I have no idea what else I could do to limit my diet. What I listed is literally it. Should I ask my doctor about the possibility of a GB issue? In regards to scanning my gallbladder, I've only had a CT scan. Though, I don't even remember if the gallbladder was scanned during that. Should I ask my doctor? If not, what else can I do to fight my gastirits?

I would accept your gastritis diagnosis since it showed up on the endoscopy.  Ask your doctor for a different medication if it is not working.  It may also be possible that your medication is disagreeing with you.  Ask to be referred to a dietician to get further advice.

I had an ultrasound done on my GB and it showed a blocked duct

Gastro Dr. said it needs to come out so he sent me to a surgeon he said he can not remove it without further tests they did a test where you eat something and they can see if GB works and it worked perfectly so surgeon rightly would not remove it.

My Gastro Dr. called him insisting he do it next thing surgeons secretary called to make an appointment for removal it did not make any difference if anything made it worse

as I don't think it should have been removed, funny thing my arthritis went away

but did not help my stomach problem have to this day.

Any update on this? John?
