Can Gin be bad for IBS

I have been diagnosed with IBS having a flare up at the moment I do on occasion like a Gin Martini it seem to get more sensitive 

following a drinking session

I believe alcohol can be a trigger for flare ups for some people. It is for me. Seems counter intuitive given that a drink tends to be relaxing! When I'm not feeling well, but really would like to have a drink, I stick to beer under 5% ABV and limit to one.

Alcohol can trigger IBS. Reduce your alcohol intake or avoid it completely.  It may be that only certain alcoholic drinks causevyiu problems.
