Can I actually do TWO surgeries?

I finally received insurance approval for THR, unfortunately i am finding out I need arthroscopic shoulder surgery as well, where I am positive they will find rotator cuff damage they will need to address. My question is have any of you had another surgery soon after a major one like tkr and what is thr soonest i could have the second. I only have 3 or maybe 4 months off and if I don't have the second one done around the same time, i probably won't. Thanks fellow Hippies!

I have had both hips replaced and also both shoulder surgeries. Shoulder surgery rehab is tough! The physical therapy is painful, but you have to keep up with it every day or you will end up with a frozen shoulder. Have you already tried physical therapy for the shoulder? Sometimes surgery can be avoided if the damage isn't too bad. If you have the shoulder surgery first, I don't know how you will be able to manage a walker or crutches soon after. If you have the hip replacement first, you will need to be walking pretty well before handling shoulder surgery. I do not envy you the choices you will have to make!
