Can I ask for tests

Hi everyone 

I'm going to see my own doctor on Tuesday would it be ok to ask him to send me for tests have had constipation and bladder problem for so long now  but am quite scared of any doctor and wouldn't know what test to ask for had bloods taken all clear so what do you sugest friends ?

Hi lynn in the exact same as you, been told for years I've had IBS and all I've had is blood tests. I'm going to go to my doctors on Monday as I've just had 2 enemas in 2 days after not being able to go for a week and 1 day. I would also like further tests to see if anything else could be causing it but don't know what tests can be done? I'm going for a bladder ultrasound tomorrow so will ask the sonographer their opinion

If they're worried it could be something serious with your gut then they'll send you for a colonoscopy. Any indication that the bladder problems are related? Have you tried Senna?

Good luck with your bladder scan  I think we need a degree to understand 

the human body I never thought bladder could be in anyway connected to the bowel but aparently they are .

I have tried senna 

ok but always worry I'll get caught short

I suggest just ask for advice to get send up for tests hospital. Good luck

Try just taking 1 tablet a night.
