Can I be move on

Brief update..so I have have just recieved my 2nd negative igg hsv2 test almost 9 weeks since protected sex that I was worried about. Due to no primary outbreak no classic systems lesions ulcers fever swollens nodes etc..just the most likely butt acne that still remains but I am treating. Can I move forward with a certain level of certainty that I do not have it too infect others? I know they say 12 weeks but due to it being protected sex no syptoms like herpes and the man also stating nothing of concern ever. Could I trust 9 week test?

i have heard on the forums that the lesions give the best results and are only good to swab when theres fluid to swab . i hear after initial outbreak that up to 3-4 months for the body to produce antibodies against the virus to show up in a blood test . Without an ob then hsv1 is confusing because it could just be a coldsore . HSV1 can spread to our gentials despite old science that made hsv2 the only genital heroe type . I’m done taking risks myself and you should comtinie protected sex also . I want to ise condoms for everything now and if the person doesnt like it then I dont care anymore . Many thingd we can catch thats permanant are hard to test for unless theres symptoms . Even aids can tale six months to one year to show up . So happy your tests are neg and I cant say for sure your okay but keep practicing safe sex and kuddos to you for caring about yourself and others .

Thanks for replying. I just want to point out not in a rude way but more if someone was reading and worried about hiv that it would not frighten them. A 4th generation test is considered conclusive by many Std experts..12 weeks being ultra conservative. Also a person would have to have hiv for many many years and also acquire certain hiv specific illnesss to be diagnosed with aids. 6 months to 1 year does not exist now

Regarding my own situation I am trying to look at it logically and after reading many comments by top hsv experts. The risk was protected sex which as im aware is very low risk. Add to that the chance of a 9 week igg test missing it is very low also. Also add in no primary outbreak no typical syptomps associated with hsv2. Putting all these together I am hoping that the chance if all these 3 things happeneing is so so low that I can try to move on. I also have an oral hs1 since childhood so have already built immunity to it and as far as ive read its very very rare to then get it genitally. So i suppose im saying what are the odds of all these rare things to happen

I think cause you have no ob that youre fine . I would personally feel very safe at this point . Especially since the guy and you have no physical signs of having it . You also lowered your risk by having protected sex . Thanks for the other info .
