Lately for the past couple of days I'll be getting startled and dizzy and very anxious like a vertigo feeling. I'm pretty sure it's a side effect of my 5mg dosage of Lexapro. But I'm not sure. I hope I don't have a brain tumor or anything. I have a doctor a pigment next week for a physical but I'm pretty sure it's a side effect. It's very hard to explain this dizzy feeling maybe it's a panic attack I don't know. Something's will seem different or disoriented. Just wanted to see if anyone else has this and ways to cope with it. I try not to freak myself out.

How long have you been on escitalopram?
I can't be 100% sure as I was on citalopram not the exact same one as you but a very higher does and I did get some of these side effects at the beginning. After a while they passed.
Have you spoke to your doctor about it?
Oh and let me add, if it isn't a side effect and it is symptoms of anxiety.. at least you'll know what's causing it which might lessen your anxieties about it. Don't panic yourself too much.
For further tenchical information, citalopram was bought out years before esciralopram.
Esitalopram was made to be more tolerable than citalopram so, by rights I think if it is side effects they will too subside just as mine did.

If you are seeing your GP for a medical, that is fair enough,
A brain tumour is not a common this to suffer from, so I would in my case stop worrying and see what your doctor advises. You will be in safe hands and hopefully He will put your concerns too rest
