I took a 15mg tablet of mirtazapam at 9;15 last night. i slept until 6;30 and woke up with chills and a stomach ache. got up put feel exhausted and unsure i could drive. should i ask my doctor if i could half the pill tonight. i also just started sertraline a little over 2 weeks. does the drowsiness get better i am on this for anxiety and PTSD. any help would be appreciated.
Hi Lynn,what you are experiencing is perfectly normal when starting antidepressants although the Mirtazapine may be making you feel rough,I would definitely ask your GP to lower your Mirtazapine dose to 7.5 in fact take half a tablet tonight ans see how you feel tommorow,personally I didn’t get on with Mirt. but everyone is different,anyway it usually takes about 3/4 weeks before you start feeling better so Good Luck! X
yes! itll make you extremely tired for a couple of days, all normal. It’ll stop making yoh drowsy all day, in a couple of days.
