So, I assumed I didn't have a sinus infection because my nose is not clogged up. However, after researching my symptoms I am thinking maybe I do need to see a doc about sinuses. Everyone here seems to know more than docs, so I thought I would ask you nice people.
For months now I have felt sick. Like I have the never ending flu. Exhaustion, headaches (which are rare for me), aches, depression (from feeling so sick), no motivation, mucus, post nasal drip, brain fog, upset tummy, and more.
I had bloodwork and it came out fine. The doc said it's anxiety and some sinus problems which only needed to be treated with a nasal rinse.
Well, I tried the nasal rinse to no avail.
Mostly, I am so tired and have no will to do anything. I get hot and cold, don't eat enough, and just fill sick. Again, like I've had the flu for six months.
Has anyone had a sinus infection get them in such a rut? Can you have a sinus infection without being totally stuffed up?
Oh boy, I would love to wake up and feel good. But I dread each moring, knowing I will have to push through while I feel so sick.

I had a chronic sinusitis problem for 50 years before discovering a miracle cure in Evening Primrose Oil.

Research chronic sinusitis and u will notice a lot of your symptoms. I suffer from chronic sinusitis for the last couple of years . It is very frustrating because doctors r unsure how to treat it .Most doctor treat everyone the same based on symptoms. This particular ailment, as I have found out over time, what works for some may not work for others. Even the nasal wash can back fire if u just blow hard when trying to get rid of the mucous. Blowing your nose hard can shoot mucous back into the ears which can cause problem.
I still suffer so I know your pain. I just try different things and although I am still suffering I have had some temporary relief.
Sunny...The symptoms you provided don't match my 50+ years of sinus problems. You don't mention how long you have had your symptoms. If you find out that you really do have a sinus infection you could try Raymond's "Evening Primrose", but generally mucus and stuffiness is very prominent in sinus infections.
I would recommend you do a Google search for a "Symptom Checker". I ran what you listed on WebMd's symptom checker and it came up with around different 120 possibilites.
Ha, ha. I know. I did feel like this three years ago and it was a sinus infection and I didn't have congestion then, so maybe. OR maybe it's just a cold on top of being run down from life! I try to stay away from Doctor Google as I find I am dying and have every disease which then induces panic.
ok so these symptoms are also possible symptoms of auto immune disease. Not saying that is what you have but these sinus issues kicked off a long trail of developing ever more symptoms for me and took me ;years to get a diagnosis.
You should probably seek another opinion on this. Personally I would check esr crp and ana in blood work. Do you but any chance have dry eyes or mouth?

I personally was diagnosed with Behcet's an auto immune auto inflammatory condition. But that symptom is common to all forms of vasculitis like Sjogrens and Lupus and probably others too. All of them can cause these issues with ear nose and throat snd with the gi system.
If you have a range of symptoms you really need to see someone who can look at underlying reasons. Fatigue and general malaise are also common.
There is one pretty surefire way to tell if there is something like that going on.

The above passage was taken from Johns Hopkins list of possible signs and symptoms of vasculitis. It was certainly the launching point for my auto immune disease. My first of many referrals was to ent for the very symptoms you mention but nothing was found. I didn't have hearing loss but my ears would feel full and pressured like they needed to pop all the time. I had inflammation in my ear cavity. Sometimes painful.
