Does anyone have problem with holding their urine.? My sister can't make it to the bathroom sometimes, and she leaks. Is that from kidney, or incontinence? She is 81, has had 2 bladder lifts. She is miserable. Also, she gets up 2-3times at night to pee. Thanks.
I do. Mine's caused by interstitial cystitis. My nocturia is 6-10 times a night. How long has your sister been experiencing this? Has she done a urine test to rule out infection? She should speak with her physician to determine cause.

IC is best controlled with eating alakalized diet and avoiding acidic foods. I see a pelvic floor therapist weekly to work on pelvic floor muscle dysfunction. I take ditropan to help with leakage I do still have some. As far as pain and frequency I have yet to find an answer but I have had hydro distension, fulgeration, DMSO and will be trying botox intervesical treatments.
