Can't seem to shake anxiety after physical work.

I worked very hard today physically. Lots of sweating long hours. Didn't eat much and didn't drink much water until the end and then I drank a lot of water with electrolyte tablets. After working my bp was elevated as one might expect. 139/89 and my pulse was about 110. After about an hour and half a xanax I've got it to 130/85 but I'm still anxious and don't feel great overall. I took on a very big job and I got 3 more days of it ahead. I do have help but I guess I need to slow it down?

120/70 pulse 81. I do take meds primarily for what I'm told is anxiety. I've battled it off and on for 20 years. I take xanax as needed (ssri extreme sensitivity) and propranolol which many of you know, is a beta blocker.

Propranolol has helped me a lot and no side effects. I think it lowers my BP and heart rate and doesn't affect my physical performance to greatly. I take 10mg 3 times daily and can still cycle say 30km on them fine. I just find my recovery time is slower. My anxiety is reduced 10 fold on them to, it's like my body just holds it ground in scenarios which would normally overwhelm me.

However, it's the adrenaline fatigue I think that causes the post workout anxiety shakes for me. It's like my whole body is shaking sometimes massively overreacting to something that 6 months ago, wouldn't have bothered me!. Propranolol helps stop these rushes.

I can't take to SSRI's at all. Tried 3 times with 2 types but the side effects cripple me.

Yep I take propranolol 20mg twice a day too
