I was just in bed, and cannot sleep from anxiety with no idea what I'm anxious about. I have had to get up and lie on the sofa. I have a knot in my stomach, feeling breathless and my legs are feeling so restless. I have no explanation as to why it's driving me crazy. Any one have any ideas what is going on with me?
You are feeling physical symptoms of anxiety. I know this may sound corny but I was suggested and currently using deep breathing techniques. Loo them up on youtube under deep breathing for anxiety. It does work.
Are you taking any medications? Have you seen your doctor? There's typically a trigger for anxiety, sometimes we just don't know what. I'm still trying to figure out mine. I was fine one day and then bam, anxiety to the max.
Trying drinking some chamomille tea and look up those breathing exercises. Believe me, I do the frquently throughout the day and they do work if you have committed to them.
One of our fellow forum responders told me that anxiety is an "interbal bully" that wants to take control.
If you haven't, see a doctor about options. I know how you are feeling. You feel like you are going to crawl out of your skin - at least I do.
Keep posting. Keep reaching out. You are not alone and we here are on this forum are here to support. You will be alright.
Sending you postive vibes. Take care of you.
It sounds to me like you may have generalised anxiety disorder, you can literally worry about absolutely nothing. I know from personal experience it's a lot easier said than done but just try your best to relax and not worry about it. Try distracting yourself with a book or such, you could also try meditating and thinking about it in a really relaxed state and think you have nothing to worry about, that helps me sometimes.
That's right, everyone on this forum know and understand all too well what's happening with you. As the previous reply said, Deep breathing, exercise and chamomile tea does work. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.
I usually go outside for some fresh air and a walk.
