Cheers. Patch.
Numbness normal after TKR, usually on the outer side.
Neither can I. I really feel for you. I have tried taking my last pain need as close to bedtime as I can. I then put a small pillow between my knees and sleep on the opposite side of the tkr knee. Sometimes it's helps sometimes not.
Lack of sleep appears to be a common problem on this form. ,:-(
I have a pillow as well..tends to be better in morning. But makes for a long night..just taken 2 tramodol but they don't help much.I'm in the UK. It's just gone midnight. Probably get some sleep in the morning. Lol.

If the muscle twitching is a problem, ask the doc for some Flexeril or similar anti-spasmodic. Check for drug interactions first. The first month post-op, I was on Percocet and Flexeril.
Too bad we all couldn't call each other on like a conference call when we can't sleep. Lol. At least we would pass time together.
I am five weeks today and every night without fail around 9:00pm the pain starts ( it's there all day too but seems worse at night)
It's gone one now and still awake, tossing and turning, moving around and trying to find some relief... I have had pills got pain patches tried cold patches and ice, a heat pad, creams, a pillow, I am losing count of things and nothing is helping?
I know it's early days but weeks of constant pain and lack of sleep wears you out! ☹️
I am 13 weeks post op and have had the sleeping problems throughout this experience. I have nerve pain that keeps me awake or wakes me up when the sheets touch my surgical area. It seems to be improving as time goes on but still getting less sleep than normal. I take magnesium glycinate 400 mg for night leg spasms. It helps me.
I used to find eating a banana at one or two in the morning along with the codydramol helpful. But indeed, those night hours are part of the fun...not!
😴The whole body as well as mind gets tense. It is hard, but try some full lung breathing ( look up yoga full lung breath on google) and resolve to go with it as much as you can, Easy to say hard to do, but consciously aim to relax you self as much as you can
.
Take a peek at my profile and maybe visit my blog. I have devoted one of the pages to my own story. I spent a lot of time expressing my own frustrations and struggle pre operative ly...I needed to sort my head out! Writing helped. It is very long. Skim reading recommended!
Pre operatively and post operatively!
Thanks for the banana suggestion! I'm going to try it and see if it helps.
Cheers .just have to soldier on.ill see doctor in morning.
From what I've read things do get better.keep going back to your doctor and get the proper Meds. To infinity and beyond.lol
Cheers .
